Committed volunteers are essential to the YMCA and enable us to fulfill our mission of community development. They are vital to our vision of building strong people, strong families and strong communities.

- Big Brothers Big Sisters, this is a mentoring program for children and young
people aged from 7 - 17
- HQ Skate Park, this is a supervised skate park which regularly organises skating
activities and competitions.
- HQ Café is a place where young people can hang out, use the internet and
purchase refreshments.
- HQ Music Space, this is a drug and alcohol free venue where popular young bands of Perth play. The gig space also regularly organises hip-hop and other dance workshops
- Youth Parliament, this program encourages and supports young people to become involved in voicing youth issues at a state level. This program ends with young people completing a residential camp and attending The Parliament of Western Australia.
- Youth Pathways, helps young people to stay in school or make the transition into further education, training or employment.
- Lynks Counselling Service, a friendly counselling service for a young people and their families.
- Streetsyde Emergency Accommodation Service is based at YMCA’s Jewel House, East Perth and provides emergency accommodation for young people aged 16 – 25
