Welcome to HQ's Multimedia Department.
Here at HQ Media, we have an editing suite with a variety of Linux, Mac and Windows PCs designed for:
- Video Capture from both Digital and Analog sources,
- Video Editing,
- Postproduction,
- DVD mastering.
Combined with the other facilities at HQ for Music and Graphics Design, this gives us a leading edge in low-cost video production of community and recreational events.
Some of the past work accomplished by the HQ Media group includes:
- Filming and editing of local Skate Competitions and Community Events,
- Creation of Skate Jam DVDs,
- Band and Gig recordings
With a variety of professional still and video cameras, such as the Canon PD150 and Cannon 350D, visual quality is assured. Using broadcast-quality software such as Adobe Premier and Adobe After Effects, a wide range of composition and post-production effects and options are possible.
We hope to develop our Multimedia department into a leading-edge facility, accessable as a resource for budding enthuisists in Perth who may not usually have access to such facilities. As such we hope to develop a volunteer program where participants have the oppotunity to train on and use the equipment.
Projects we hope to develop in the future will include:
- Music videos for local bands,
- 3D Animation,
- Short adverts for community groups,
- and commercial-quality media for self-promotion and other purposes.
